Dear colleagues,

I wish to sincerely thank everybody who generously gave me their time
and advice regarding this career decision. I received many responses
both to and off-list, for which I am deeply grateful.

Some opinions were in favour of Ohio, some in favour of L.A. but all
gave me more food for thought and often provided a different
perspective.

The decision was a difficult one and I had gone back and forth
between the two options more than a few times. I even was at the
point of researching statistical data on both cities and at different
points in time wrote each museum a draft of a letter declining their
offer... In the end, after much deliberation I decided to accept the
position at the Getty.

It was really a win-win situation, and I hope those of you who were
leaning towards Ohio, do not disapprove.

Once again, my sincere thanks to everybody who responded.

Marina Daiman
