Last May I put a query out on MUSEUM-L to other campus museum registrars
inquiring about campus collection loan policies; how they were handled,
forms used, fees charged, etc. I received a number of responses, all
sympathetic and anecdotal. (I have a summary.)

The University of Maine Museum of Art currently has a large component of
its collection on display out on campus. Works are found in the student
union, classroom building corridors, department & faculty offices, etc.
We are about to define new policies and procedures covering this "Campus
Collection" aspect of our collection management.

I have prepared a ONE PAGE survey on this subject for mailing out to
members of the ACUMG (Assoc. of College & University Museums &
Galleries). If you are not an active member of the ACUMG, but would
like to contribute your wisdom and expertise to us, please reply
directly to me with your post address and we will mail you a copy of
the survey. (It not my intent to ressurect the thread at this point.)

Thanks.
