With all due respect, the definition of an unethical company is highly
nebulous. At one time or another, many, many companies have engaged in
unethical or at least misleading behaviors in the efforts of marketing.
Tobacco is a legal drug. So is alcohol. There is at least as much
deceptive advertising and claims in the food industry as tobacco or alcohol.
In fact, I would imagine that food and over-eating or poor eating issues
account for far more deaths and health concerns/costs. If one wants to
pursue a purist view of ethical companies, very few funding options will
exist.
