Ashley,
I would recommend Paradigm, which is now called Sage. It is very easy to
use, priced right for a medium museum and can handle tracking and managing
membership, donations, volunteers and events. The last version I used did
not have a module for retail, unfortunately. If you have any specific
questions about this software, check out www.sagesoftware.com or feel free
to contact me.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Membership Management Software

I am part of the marketing staff at a quickly growing medium sized museum.
We
are currently searching for new computer software to handle membership but
there seem to be so many choices. I was hoping a few people could tell me
what programs their museums use and what experiences or problems they have
had. We are hoping for a progam that will handle membership, donations,
etc.
and also one that we could use for ticketing and with gift shop point of
sale
software in the future. Several collegues have suggested Raiser'sEdge and
if
there is anyone with comments about this program I would be particularly
interested. There are only a few posts in the archives about the subject
and
many are too old to be useful. Thanks for the information!
