That is about what we are paying our Curator of Education.  We're a two
person staff, about 10,000 visitors a year and in the Chicago area.   I
suspect, however, that if our Curator did not already own a home  (and
probably has other sources of income) she couldn't afford to work here.   Of
course I can't afford to work here just on my salary alone :)
