CURATORIAL ASSISTANT POSITION


The American Textile History Museum seeks a curatorial assistant for the
textile, costume, tools and machinery collections. Assistant works under
the supervision of the curator. Responsibilities include: exhibit
maintenance, some cataloguing, processing new collections, answering
reference questions, assisting in exhibit related activities, office
administration, and working with volunteers. Must be a self-starter,
flexible and organized. Requirements are B.A. in history or related field,
M.A. preferred, and some knowledge of textiles, costume, and museum
practices. Salary range: Low $20s, plus excellent benefits.
