Hello all

Possibly someone knows something about this. It was in Friday's paper
here.
William Crowley - museum director at the Wisconsin State Historical
Society has been asekd to step down. He has been given the option of
resigning
(which of course means if he doesn't resign he willl be fired)
Mr. Crowley was with the museum since 1986. Previous to this he
worked at the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain, New Yor; hte Kansas
City Museum of History and Science in Kansas City, Mo.; and lane
coutny History Museum in Eugene, Ore.

Mr Crowley has stated he is dealing with a lawyer for advice and to
consider his options.
THe museum's administration through Robert Thomasgard, the society's
associate director, has given no
further comment without legal counsel.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Regards

Mary Haegele
