Dear Phil,

Where are you located? I know of companies in Pennsylvania and the
Northeast, but that probably won't help you if you are in another region.

Try contacting the Northeast Document Conservation Center in New England,
and/or the Conservation for Art & Historic Artifacts (Philadelphia, PA) for
names of microfilming firms. If you have access to a copy, the front of the
AAM Official Museum Directory has several pages listing resources, including
regional conservation centers.

Try the Society for American Archivists in Chicago.

Also, state archives & libraries often know of area microfilming firms. The
PA state archives has criteria available for preservation quality
microfilming that I accessed in order to comply with grant requirements from
the state historical commission for a microfilming project. I assume the
state library/archives in your state would also have such criteria
available.

On another note, PLEASE people, if you are communicating to the list on
behalf of your official workplace, at least put your city & state in your
automatic email "signature"; it would be nice to have your country, too.

 This is a national & international list-serv. We can't read your mind and
know where you are physically located. If you want to receive the best
information possible in reply to your question posed to the list, we all
need to know your address. And knowing your address/location will save us
all a lot of time.
