Anyone out there know of any published stories, biographies, or
autobiographies written by or about the experiences of museum educators
(including docents, guides, interpreters, museum teachers, etc.)?

I'm updating an orientation course on guiding tours in 'galleries,
museums and parks' which I do for the School of Continuing Studies at the
University of Toronto. It's a 10-evening course intended for those interested
in doing this on a volunteer basis but who have had little or no experience.

While the course includes several field trips, meetings with
docents/guides, and guest 'lectures', this year I would like to attempt
more of a general case study approach. I'm familiar with the texts on the
subject but I believe stories may better help people 'step into the
shoes' of the museum educator.

I'd be happy to do a summary of what I compile if anyone's interested.
