Does the term "Sceltes" ring any bells with anyone? I don't even know where
to start to look (beyond, of course, every dictionary and encylo I could
find!)

The term refers to six boxes of small plaster casts of various classical
subjects, given to our museum around 1890. The hand written card says "made
by museum stores from carved gems" but lots of our cards contain charmingly
invalid info so this may be more of the same.

Any info would be appreciated.
