**  NYC Museum Launches New Space Shuttle Enterprise Exhibit
A floating Manhattan museum has unveiled a temporary new exhibition devoted 
to the space shuttle Enterprise while the prototype orbiter - NASA's first 
shuttle - is being restored after a devastating storm

**  Venezuela art exhibit focuses on Hugo Chavez
A group of Venezuelan artists has contributed paintings of President Hugo 
Chavez for a new government-organized exhibit dedicated to the ailing leader

**  Tate recognises 'need' to address LS Lowry oversight with major new 
exhibition
The institution had come under fire for its failure to seriously cover Lowry 
since his death, and only rarely displaying any of its seven paintings in

**  New Showcase for a Neglected Era
When the curator of American art at the Brooklyn Museum began work on an

**  Picasso murals under threat after attack in Oslo
The buildings were severely damaged during the deadly terrorist attack in 
the Norwegian capital in July 2011, and the government is now considering 
whether to demolish the modernist buildings that form the 
"regjeringskvartal," or government, quarter

**  No 'lost Spitfires' buried in Burma
A week of excavation work at Yangon (Rangoon) International Airport found no 
evidence for the claim that 124 Spitfires were buried in sites around Burma 
at the end of the war, archaeologists stated

**  Artist uses police techniques to recreate man at National Roman Legion 
Museum
Containing the skeleton of a well-preserved male believed to have been 
buried in around AD 200 and aged around 40, the discovery has been a 
constant source of speculation at the nearby National Roman Legion Museum in 
Caerleon, where it is has been on permanent display since 2002

The National Museum of Ireland (NMI) has pleaded with the Government to

**  Baltimore Museum Finds 19th-Century African-American Sculptor's Photo in 
Antique Shop
While she was on sabbatical, the director of audience engagement at 
Baltimore's Walters Art Museum visited a local antique shop and happened 
upon a very rare photograph of the 19th-century African-American sculptor 
Edmonia Lewis (1844-1907), one of only eight known pictures of the renowned 
artist

**  Hidden portrait of the Queen with 'a too long neck' finally goes on 
display after 61 years
John Napper's portrait of the Queen was commissioned to mark her accession 
to the throne in 1953 by Liverpool Corporation, but the council rejected the 
painting as not a good likeness - the main criticism being that her neck was 
too long

**  Israel museum to exhibit reconstructed tomb in first major exhibition on 
biblical King Herod
The display includes the reconstructed tomb and sarcophagus of one of 
antiquity's most notable and despised figures, curators say

**  The first solar-powered vertebrate
It has long been suspected, and now there is hard evidence: the spotted
