The Sheldon Museum in Haines, Alaska, hosts an annual
Doll's Fair that is very popular. There is usually an
exhibit of rare and/or interesting dolls loaned by
members of the community to go along with it. The
Museum has a collection of costumes the children can
don or they can come with their own. They also bring
their own dolls to dress up and show off. And, I
believe they have a tea party. I seem to always be
away on vacation or on another project when it
happens, but I've seen photographs and heard stories.
I think your idea sounds like fun. However, if you
would like any other ideas or have any questions, I
would be happy to pass your e-mail address on to our
Education Coordinator.
