Ft. Rucker, Alabama has an excellent museum.  It covers people and
aircraft; especially helicopters, used in wars and peacetime in the
20th century. I remembered it as a small building with a few aircraft
as a child and recently returned to visit friends and went to the
museum and was  pleasantly shocked!
