The Allied Arts Fund of Central PA is seeking candidates for the position
of President.  The AAF is 10 yrs old and raises funds for 33
arts/cultural orgs in a 4-county region including Harrisburg, the State
Capitol.  Well-supported by regional business leadership, the Fund
increased its 1995 fund-raising by 23% to $760,000. The strategic plan of
the 40-member Board calls for raising $2,000,000 in the year 2000.

Responsibilities of President: manage all Fund activities including
coordination of annual campaign fund-raising, allocations process
coordination, and mgt of relationships with all affiliate orgs.

Candidate rqmnts: bachelor's degree, significant fund-raising experience,
5 yr sof mgt experience, direct contact w/ a Board in a professional
capacity, and demonstrable evidence of clear understanding of the
importance of arts/cultural orgs in the growth, improvement, and daily
life of the community. Preferred candidates will also have an advanced
degree and evidence of success as a senior exec in an org raising funds
for the arts.  Candidate must be highly organized, able to manage
multiple processes simultaneously, and effective at moving the org toward
its strategic goals.

The Harrisburg region is a vibrant area providing a combination of the
best of urban living and rural serenity. Compensation pkg is highly
competitive.
