Our department, currently known as the "Interpretation Team", is the only
department handling the "core museum practices" in the institution.  The
other departments are: Marketing, Finance, Visitor Service (museum store,
security, parking lot), Operations, and Development.

Were a small institution.  About 45 employees of which 20 are
administrative (meaning people who don't deal with visitors on a day to day
basis).

I agree with the first person who said "overworked". What are the
other departments (if any) called? There don't don't seem to be
many functions left out. We have a department at the University
of Pennsylvania Museum called "museum services" which does not match your
list, but it's a useful, comprehensive name that could include
