This 10-session course introduces participants to the principles and
practices of managing museums in the 21st. Century.  Sessions include an
overview of the various types of museums; mission, governance and ethics;
planning and programming; fiscal management; exhibition development and
collections management; interpretation and education; fundraising and
marketing strategies; and the museum as workplace.

The class is organized around lectures and visits to museums in the
tri-state area.
