To avoid reinventing the wheel, would people advise me on what they
have done with the old study photo collections in university/college
art departments. Our Department wants to do something with the hundreds
of prints mounted on acid mat board. Is there any way of removing the
prints from the backing? Have you found anyone interested in purchasing
them? We now have them boxed and in storage but I would like to know
if anyone has come up with a second life for them.

It is clear that some of them, particularly shots of architectural sites
from before the wars, have great historical value. And the clarity of
some of them and compositional beauty make them works of art in their
own right.

Thanks -
