My name is Adam Bliss and i am presently working on a project
that requires setting up a searchable data base for ANY item found in
ANY type of museum. I realize this is not going to be easy, but i
would appriciate any input anyone might have. The following is what i
have come up with on my own:
DESCRIPTIONS
I. Tools: 1)agricultural
2)manufacturing, repair, building, etc.
3)professional (Dr., dentist, lab.)
II. Furniture: 1)storage (trunks, crates...)

3)drawing, sitting, and smoking room,

hanging (rugs, wall covers, ?)

4)body items (lighters, pipes,
glasses, flasks, etc.)

4)flags, banners, pendants, etc.
5)other related militaria
VI. Natural Specimens: 1)animal

VII. Domestic: 1)dishes

3)other tableware (salt cellars, etc.)

5)containers (jugs, pitchers, bottles,
jars)

As i said, this must be a workable database. While i realize that not
everything will fit exactly into these catagories, just about
everything will go someplce. I also will be using "DATE" as a separate
section. Thanks again for any useful input.
