Subject: Adjunct faculty needed for on-line museum courses

Hello Listserv Members,

Southeast Community College is currently recruiting adjunct faculty to
teach on-line courses in Historic Information Management. These courses
in Museum Studies are designed to act as "feeder courses" for currently
existing undergraduate and graduate programs in Museum Management. Our
goal is to provide young scholars an introduction to the profession
early in their educational careers and encourage them to continue on
with professional graduate education. It is also our desire that those
students desiring to continue on in the profession will have the basic
knowledge and skills to work part-time as student help in existing
museum programs, further gaining professional exposure while completing
their professional studies. Please note that throughout the certificate
program in museum studies it is continually emphasized that this
coursework is an introduction to the basic skills and concepts.
Professional development is a matter of matter of continuing
undergraduate and graduate education and professional employment
experience.

We are currently recruiting adjunct faculty to teach in each of the
major disciplines within museum management. This is an opportunity for
professionals in each area of museum management to assist in the career
growth of aspiring museum students and a unique chance for students to
have contact and learn some basic skills from professional
practitioners.
