The Institute for Learning Innovation presents a free Professional
Development Seminar on Thursday April 15.

                  PERFECTING THE MUSEUM EXHIBIT DESIGNER:
                            A WORK IN PROGRESS

                           Michael D. Blakeslee
                                 Director
Graduate Program in Museum Exhibition Planning and Design
                          University of the Arts
                               Philadelphia

"Perfecting the Museum Exhibit Designer: A Work in Progress" will be a
lively discussion and exchange on what makes a good museum exhibit
designer. Michael Blakeslee and participants will take an active role
in
helping define the traits of a good exhibit designer. The title, "A Work
in
Progress," suggests both directly and indirectly that as Director of the
Graduate Program in Museum Exhibition Planning and Design, Michael
Blakeslee is still wrestling with the definition of a museum exhibition
designer.

Michael D. Blakeslee has been a museum exhibit designer, children's
museum
director, freelance museum and design consultant, museum educator,
federal
design administrator and is currently the director of the "one and only"
Graduate Program in Museum Exhibition Planning and Design, at the
University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
