Hi everyone - I should have thought of this for myself (it takes a while) but
it took the nudging of another member of this list to spur me into action - I
am going to Manchester (hopefully) next year to do my Ph.D in Art History
(I've already told everybody this - sorry to be repetitive, boring etc) and of
course like most people I need to find the money. Does anyone have any ideas
for any funding that I might not have thought of? Actually, I personally
haven't thought of much because in Canada right now there doesn't seem to be
any money available unless you have some close relationship to Einstein or his
grades, or both. Tons of money for 'hard' science of course - but
humanities!!!! Horrors. Arts - forget it. The Arts Council might come up
with some bucks if I was making an underground film (black and white - lots of
Nietzschian nihilistic symbolism etc) but Art History no way - any suggestions
gratefully accepted - regards Jacky Ridley
