it wouldn't bother me.  from my perspective - treat people and things with "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" regardless of who or what.  i don't think it would be such a bad legacy to help "teach" the future, get people to wonder about what life was like "back then".    and for others who differ,
that's their right and their wishes should be respected, too.
