Anne,

Machines do exist that can provide a constant flow of air at steady
humidity, regardless of temperature change. The Constant Volume Generator
by Micro Climate Technologies will service up to 6000 cubic feet of
enclosed storage or display cases. It may not be a cost effective solution
for short-term temporary storage alone, but if you plan to use the unit
after renovations, or to stabilize display cases in a some other difficult
environment (historic structure, etc.) it might be a worthwhile investment.
