Hello All,
We have a new part-time position open at the Marietta Museum of  
History for a Visitor and Volunteer Services Coordinator.  See the  
description below:

Job Opportunity at the Marietta Museum of History
Title: Visitor & Volunteer Services Coordinator
Part-Time, 2 to 3 days a week with Saturdays required and possible  
evening hours

Scope:  Visitor & Volunteer Services Coordinator will work under the  
supervision of the Museum’s Director of Operations.  The Coordinator  
will work with recruiting, sustaining and training the Museum  
volunteers while assisting in the management of the Museum Store.

Responsibilities: Will include but are not limited to:

•	Updating the Volunteer Handbook and Policies
•	Managing the Museum Store on Saturdays
•	Recruiting, sustaining and training Museum volunteers
•	Scheduling Volunteers to work during Museum hours and special events
•	Maintaining written and electronic communication with Volunteers
•	Greeting and interacting with visitors, volunteers and other Museum guests

Requirements:  Prospective candidates need to be currently enrolled in  
a graduate program or have recently completed work in such program.   
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and sufficient retail/customer  
service experience will also be considered.

The best candidates will be able to:
•	Work independently within the guidelines established by the Museum’s  
Director and ask questions when new situations arise
•	Assist in the maintenance of the Museum Store with minimal supervision
•	Interact professionally with varying groups of people including  
Museum staff, volunteers, contributors, members and guests

Applicants must:
•	Be detail oriented, creative and resourceful
•	Have a good sense of humor
•	Be outgoing
•	Be a people person
•	Have retail and or customer service experience
•	Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
•	Maintain a professional and amicable demeanor and appearance
•	Have experience in Microsoft Office
