Job and Other Museum-Related Resources:

The Museum Resource Board went online in early July 1998. This site is
heavily slanted toward U.S. museum resources only. You can post to all of
the databases for free.

JOBS
The jobs database usually consists of about 100 currently available jobs.
Jobs can be displayed by category, institution, city and state, job name,
or when it was posted. Jobs posted within the last three days are marked.
We try to keep the database as current as possible and the database does
not display jobs after their projected expiration dates. Many of our job
listings are posted by visitors, so please bookmark this URL for your
institution's next job search. We spend a lot of time searching for jobs
and the results of our job search appear by every Tuesday (late evening).

RESUMES
We have a growing free resume database for museum professionals. Simply
copy your resume from your word processor and paste it into our form and
your resume is posted instantly to the database. Resumes are sorted by
last name and show the city and state next to the link. Resumes are easy
to update and the database is fully searchable.

MUSEUM LOCATOR
We have a database that contains basic contact information for over 7,500
museums across the United States. As you search for museums, a map of the
48 contiguous appears and a yellow dot appears on the map showing the rough
location of every museum returned in the search. If your institution does
not appear in the database or the contact information is incorrect, you can
add or correct it.

INTERNSHIP BOARD
(Still being developed). It currently contains a database of about 50
museums that have internship programs. Feel free to advertise your
internship program by visiting this site and filling out the form.

BOOK SHELF
This is a brand new feature that is still being developed. It is a
database of over 22,000 books about museums (or by museums). It interfaces
with Amazon.com so you can purchase recent books. Soon, you will be able
to add your books to this database, if they are not already there.

This is still a relatively new site. Your comments and suggestions for
future development are much appreciated. Please let us know if the Museum
Resource Board has helped you.
