Assistant Curator

Historic Mount Vernon seeks an experienced candidate to fill a new permanent
full-time position. The successful candidate will work with the Curator and
collections staff to research, preserve, and enhance the collection, develop
furnishing plans, respond to internal and external inquiries, help
coordinate exhibitions, and guide the furnishing of Mount Vernon in
Miniature, a 1/12th scale model of the Mansion.  Master of Arts degree in
art history, American history, material culture or museum studies required.
Advanced studies in American decorative arts preferred.  Excellent
communication skills, flexibility and reliability required.  Send resume,
