Gallery Coordinator
The Education department of the Arizona Science Center seeks an
energetic, organized candidate for the position of Gallery
Coordinator. The Gallery Coordinator supervises the Education
Department's facilitators and demonstrators. The Coordinator
implements demonstrations, hands-on activities and other interpretive
programs on various science topics. The Gallery Coordinator spends
most of his/her time on the exhibit floor, working with staff and
public and interacting with teachers and their classes.

Major Responsibilities

- Works 40 hours/week, Sunday through Thursday
- Supervises and schedules part time education gallery staff and volunteers
- Implements demonstrations and activities.
- Point person on the floor for volunteers, demonstrators and the
public to answer questions and deal with any problems or situations
Interacts with public to explain exhibits and science concepts.
- Coordinates demonstration times with teachers scheduled for fieldtrips
- Meets regularly with the Gallery Program Manager.

Qualifications A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in science, technology or
education from a four-year college or university; or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Strong interest in science
and education. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Well
organized, efficient and able to work independently and take
initiative. Experience working with and presenting ideas to students
and the general public is desirable.

Entry-level position; $25,000 per year with full benefits.
