A suggestion:

Should the citation give the date on which the site was accessed? Would
this be useful when trying to find the site again? At least it might give
you an idea that the address was still valid at a certain date.

Should the citation take the following form?:

Pitkow, J. And Kehoe, C. (1996). GVU's 6th WWW User Survey
http://www.cc.gatech.edu/gvu/user_surveys/survey-10-1996 (5/16/1997)

If the address is no longer valid, someone looking for the cited material
could try to find it through:

a) The root of the address (http://www.cc.gatech.edu)
b) The authors' names
c) The title of the published material (GVU's 6th WWW User Survey)
d) The title of the web page, if this is different

Therefore, should all these details be included in the citation, including
the title of the web page, so that it might more easily be found using
search engines?
