Is it necessary to restrict access?

My experience in working in museums and galleries in Vancouver is that text
panel warnings are placed outside of theater spaces. These panels state
that ". . . this material may be objectionable to some viewers." Also, free
admission passes are given at the admission desk if any visitors complain
about the presentation. This allows the visitor to come back at a future
date when a more appealing exhibit is showing. Also, orientations are
provided to staff working in the exhibition space to expand upon themes in
the work. They are also instructed on how to deal with objections and where
to direct complaints.
