Beth Ann,

The Legler Barn Museum recently (Jan., 2001)joined with the city of Lenexa,
KS. While the city operates the museum, and pays our salaries, the
historical society still maintains ownership of all the artifacts. Legler
is the only museum in Lenexa. If you have additional questions please let
me know.

Subject: museums and municipalities

I am interested in gathering a list of museums who are physically owned or
in an operating relationship with a municipality. If you site qualifies,
would you forward me a contact person? I am particularly interested in
historic sites but not restricted to. Thank you.
