One of the most interesting industrial museums I know of is the Valentine
Riverside in Richmond, Virginia. It is on the site of the Tredegar Ironworks
there (the Tredegar was the only big ironworks in the Confederacy during the
Civil War). It does an excellent job of presenting what the lives of
working people were like.
