To Mary Ames Sheret:
There is a direct manufacturer in Vienna, Missouri named TOP THIS. They used
to sell inexpensive ($2-$4) felt hats. Most were factory seconds. You might
try them.

Subject: Source for hats?

I am looking for a source for inexpensive, women's felt hats to be used in
a hands-on millinery activity. (Kids decorate the hats, you see.) I've
looked at Amazon but they are rather expensive. I have a source for straw
hats but they tend to fall apart rather quickly with repeated use. Any
ideas for felt hats, i.e. in the late 19th century styles? Theater sources?
Thank you.
