I LOVE THIS SITE. If you have a decorative art collection and weird
historic widgets it is wonderful. Although there are limited fine art
entries, other sites specialize in that data.

I make most of my money as an appraiser, "rent a registrar" is my second
hat. The auction results are good for specific types of appraisals. When I
am doing charitable donation, divorce (in CA and NV), estate tax, fraud and
owner resale, this site saves my bacon. Not good for insurance. As a
registrar you can get a feeling for the value of your collection at some
basic level using auction records but it is not the full insurance
replacement value, that you get from researching the dealer market.
