venture between the Children's Theatre of Charlotte and the Public Library.

POSITION TITLE: Visitor Services Coordinator (Formerly "Event Specialist")

POSITION NUMBER: unassigned

LOCATION: ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center

STARTING SALARY: $23,741-$29,676

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: As a part of the staff for ImaginOn: The Joe and Joan
Martin Center, the ImaginOn Visitor Services Coordinator (formerly posted as
"Events Specialist") ensures that the shared mission, vision and goals of
the facility are achieved by providing support for visitor needs, programs
and special events in the ImaginOn facility. This includes assisting with
the coordination and facilitation of visitor services, various programs for
youth and caregivers, and special events (including some rental events). The
position is also responsible for supporting and scheduling ImaginOn's
growing volunteer base and communicating information to staff and facility
users. Other duties will include assisting with the ImaginOn Gift Shop as
needed, leading tours for visitors, staffing ImaginOn's front information
desk and assisting the ImaginOn Manager and staff with various facility
needs in an effort to make ImaginOn a dynamic, evolving, and meaningful
experience for youth ages 0-18, families, teachers and adults who work with
youth.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Undergraduate degree preferred with excellent program and
event planning skills a must. Experience with program and events
coordination highly recommended. Excellent communication and facilitation
skills needed; customer focused in approach ; ability to multi-task,
organize information, work in teams, and an attention to details needed.
Knowledge of library and theatre services a plus; knowledge of other
community organizations that work with youth is also a plus.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week/ including some nights and rotating
weekends.
