Dear Erna,
I would recommend too major names of specialists on Islamic art. These
are: Dr. Nurhan Atasoy, Istanbul and Dr. Walter Denny, USA. Get one
their books and go through their bibliography.
Hope this will help. From Elena Lioubimova, Curator, "The World of 1607"

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Turkish Islamic Design in Ottoman Woodwork

I am looking for sources/articles and books that may have information on
Ottoman woodwork ornament designs. Can anyone suggest some good
references?

thanks
