Anyone have any informed comment on the suitability of
polystyrene in conjunction with B&W photographic materials? We
have been advised, in our prep for moving the whole place, of a
method using records center boxes and acid-free suspension
folders, using the expanded polystyrene of the type sold at
building supply stores for home insulation, as cushioning and
dunnage. This method would also employ Foamcore in the bottom
of the box. Sure, Ethafoam would be better: just as a two-week
vacation in Vienna would be better that six months in Branson MO.
