Becky,

Compared to other listserves that I am on there is a minimum of
rudeness and flaming on this list. The vast majority of people on
Museum-L, in my experience over the years, are generous, helpful, and
articulate.

Don't let the occasional isolated incident keep you from posting a query.

I do not remember about the Florida air museum situation - was their
query answered rudely or just unanswered?

There are times when something is posted that requires a more critical
response, but when I answer some of those conservation/preservation
issues I strive to be helpful and constructive, and am always aware
that I am posting something that may be helpful to other members of
the list. I hope that it comes across that way.

Given the deep knowledge base on this list you do yourself and others
a disservice by not posting and interacting here. In my experience
everyone has something of value that they can contribute - even if it
is to ask a question.

And, if someone else is rude or dissrepectful, well, that's their
problem, isn't it?

Cheers!
Dave
