The land-based Entertainment group is comprised of corporations such as
Disney, Paramount, MGM, Universal, etc, etc. I realize the minute you
say Disney to curators, the eyes start to roll....but these folks are
serious about emulating the museum experience and achieving the level of
respect museum venues are able to obtain. Two years ago they met in New
York with about 300 attendees and their buzzword was "education"...the
next year 750 people showed up in L.A. and started talking about
"museum-like experiences". I worry that at some time in the future,
these corporations will directly compete with museums by exhibiting a
collection...and they can afford to collect more. They have gone into
decayed city areas and scooped up cheap land. After building their
social centers, the surrounding areas become vital once again. How many
museums do you know that can do that?

As for the design idea...I will respond to you off-line. My first
impression is it could be a wonderful living work of human thought,
exhibition, and design. On the other hand...you know
museum-think..."Anything worth doing is worth doing by committee..."
