     I am posting this on behalf of a colleague who does not have Internet
     access.  Neither of us have WWW access.
                         * * * * * * * * * * * * **

     Margaret O'Neil of the Walt Whitman House is looking for any
     research/studies on visitor perceptions of the clothing of historic
     site interpreters: uniforms (like National Park Service uniforms) v.
     street clothes v. period costume particularly regarding a historic
     site in an urban setting.

     Walt Whitman House is part of the NJ State Park system.  It is located
     across the street from a corrections facility.  Staff may begin to
     wear State Park service uniforms which resemble those of corrections
     officers.  Thus, she is specifically curious about studies which have
     examined visitor impressions in a situation similar to this.
