The semester is finally over! I can now get back to work on the numerous projects that have been piling up on the MUA. It seems that last year at this time things weren’t so busy but these are great problems to have (at least that’s what I keep telling myself).
I want to give a public thank you to the folks at Cleveland Underwater Explorers and East Carolina University grad students, Jodi Carpenter, and Michelle Damian for their patience. Postings from all of these folks will be up shortly. In fact…
I’m happy to announce the 5th installment of Michelle Damian’s research project journal on Japanese Wooden Boats. Michelle provides an update on her work and a sneak peek at some of the analysis for her MA. She highlights woodblock prints of river fishing scenes including artists’ depictions of boats and fishing equipment.
The response to this journal has been overwhelming as can be seen through the growing list of names in her acknowledgments page. New to that page as well is a list of related websites for people wishing to explore the subject further.
