Dear Roz:

I believe I have a perfect match for you.

Go to http://fdncenter.org/grantmaker/rothschild/mission.html where you
will find the following description:

MISSION STATEMENT
The Judith Rothschild Foundation was created by the will of the painter
Judith Rothschild to stimulate interest in recently deceased American
painters, sculptors and photographers whose work is of the highest
quality but lacks wide recognition. Ms. Rothschild's goal for the
Foundation was to increase the public understanding of such lesser known
and insufficiently appreciated artists -- affording their work the
opportunity for public viewing, institutional acquisition, and critical
reassessment. The Foundation's grant program supports a wide range of
activities which will bring this important art to the attention of a
broad public audience.

Best,

John Nolan

Does anyone know, off the top of their head, what would be a
good grant source for the purpose of cataloguing the collected
works of a deceased NYC artist, the painter, Morris Kriensky?
This is a artist who showed at the Knoedler Gallery back in the
fifties and also at the White House, but despite the continued
outstanding quality of his work, did not become well known. His
work needs to be catalogued, photographed, and some conservation
done. Are there funds available for this purpose? Thanks.

If no one has a specific grant in mind, could anybody suggest
what path to take in pursuing a grant for this purpose?

Again, Thank you.

Roz Chatt
