A classic must be the Mr Bean movie where Mr Bean is mistaken as a British art expert and brought to a big art museum in the US which has just purchased the painting "Whistler's Mother". Absolutely hilarious and cringe-inducing if you are an art curator or conservator.

I'm teaching an "Introduction to Museum Studies" course next year.  I plan to examine popular images of museums by having students read novels and/or watch films that are about, or set in, museums.  Any suggested titles?
