To Paisley and Suzanne -- Yes, the Milwaukee Public Museum, on March
31, 1992, did indeed convert from being a county-funded institution
to its own 501(c)(3) organization. However, under the terms of the
agreement with Milwaukee County, the County continues to own the
collections, the building, and the grounds. For further details on
the agreement and how things are working (I left several months ago.)
Paisley could call Jim Krivitz, Senior V.P. at Milwaukee Public, 414-
278-2748.
