Go to the web site for the Canadian Conservation Center and order their
publication about exhibiting textiles. Here's the link: https://www.cci-
icc.gc.ca/bookstore/ViewPublication-e.cfm?publication=12&cattype=22

If the above link is balky--cut and paste up to the bookstore part and
search on textiles. You'll see it.

Everything you ever needed to know about how to safely exhibit your quilts.

Remember, no one can tell you the best way to do this UNLESS they see the
quilt or you provide a good condition report because the fragility of the
quilt plays a role in how to safely mount it. If your quilts are silk and
are shattering, for example, hanging them upright will only serve to
destroy them. A gently slanted (appropriatly padded and covered) board
might be a solution for such a situation.

What type of mounting would you recommend?
