For a look at Italian museology, see the online Nuova Museologia (in
Italian, of course): http://www.nuovamuseologia.org.

To give you an idea of this professional journal, it was founded, I believe
(but check, if pertinent!), in part by Prof. Giovanni Pinna, who--until his
recent retirement--was the director of Milan's Natural History Museum. He
also was a co-founder of DEMHIST, ICOM's International Committee for
Historic House Museums, as well as its first president, and now serves on
ICOM's board. At the most recent ICOM-Italia meeting, just a few days ago,
the possibility of ICOM-Italia acquiring the journal as its official organ
was broached.

best regards,

Star Meyer
