For all those folks in and around Illinois:

The Illinois Association of Museums Annual Meeting will be held on October
15-17 in Collinsville IL.  There is a great line-up of speakers, including
Marianna Munyer talking about marking museum objects (she's the one who
wrote the "How to..." piece, chairs the RC-AAM Sub-committee on marking and
organized a terrific workshop and session for AAM) and Diane Gutenkauf
talking about how to assess your computerization needs.  Also there will be
a session on the status of Illinois' Unclaimed Loans legislation (hear that,
Jayne Johnson!)

The whole conference registration is only $30 for members (before 9/15) and
$40 for non-members (an additional $10 after 9/15) with an addition $12 for
an affinity lunch and $20 for the awards banquet at Cahokia Mounds State
Historic Site.
