May I also add that as professionals in the field, it may be
    worthwhile to voice our concerns when positions are advertised
    with unusually low salaries.  Perhaps it is time we all started
    writing letters to museum directors when we see extreme cases like
    the one that started this lively discussion--$15,000 for a so
    called full-time professional position.
