Would anyone help me out by giving me a good definition of 'public
program'. Thanks in advance.
Trish

Here goes...

A public program is an organised event or series of events (e.g.
demonstration, performance, workshop, recital) directed at an audience other
than formal education groups and intended to enhance, explore, showcase
and/or contextualise aspects of a museum and its collections/exhibitions.
It is also meant to be fun.
