National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowships: up to $30,000 for 4-12
months.

Lois F. McNeil Dissertation Fellowships: $7000 per semester.

Winterthur Research Fellowships: $1500 per month for 1-3 months. This
category includes many general fellowships as well as the Dwight P. Lanmon
Fellowship for the study of ceramics and glass, Robert Lee Gill Fellowships
for the study of American decorative arts, painting, architecture, or
historic preservation, and the Faith Andrews Fellowship for the study of
Shaker life and material culture.

Applications are welcome from graduate students, college and university

artists and architects, and independent scholars.

Winterthur's library and museum collections support a broad range of
research in America's artistic, cultural, social, and intellectual history
from the seventeenth century through the 1930s. Library collections are
strong in American art, culture, and history with excellent supporting
British and Continental materials. Object collections include 85,000
artifacts made or used in America from the seventeenth century to 1860.
