Hi Rob,

I think you are right. I did send the art law file as a plain text file to
those who wrote to me off the list, but I had earlier assumed people might
appreciate the mime version. The download times are similar either way, as
they are both simple texts.

Earlier this morning I put the info on the web, if this helps people with
bandwith problems, etc.:

http://home.att.net/~allanmcnyc/art_laws.html

I appreciate your suggestion... unlike the rather rude and silly personal
email sent to me this evening by Mark Friedman ([log in to unmask]) who
suggests that people like me are what's wrong with the internet today! :

<< You had some nerve sending such a huge attachment to MUSEUM-L newsgroup
<< with more than 2,000 recipients daily. That sort of huge 700,000 byte
<< file would have just as easily fit onto YOUR PERSONAL website, and then
<< you could have sent a message to the entire list telling them the URL
<< where it was located. Then the other 1,999 or so people who did not want
<< to read it would not have had to endure your torturous waste of money,
<< time and resources.

What a weird world is Museum-L!! As if all members were forced to download
something they weren't interested in!!

Best regards,

Allan McCollum
